Boom? But on full scholarship? But boom? Not to discount the importance of his position and how a mistake there could dramatically change a game but...hmmm. Go Vols!

You want to know how important it is, LS is the only position we haven’t complained or talked about in the last 4 years because we have a good one on scholarship, Lovingood.

Point taken. I completely agree. It’s the full ride part that I am not sure about. Was Lovingood on scholly from the beginning?

If you want a really good long snapper you have to give them a scholarship. Not like it used to be when they would walk on. Trend last few yrs has started where you have to give them scholarships now because if you don't someone else will

It was a major debate on here when we signed Lovingood. In fact, Butch missed out on another guy the same cycle or the one before because he didn’t offer a full ride. The trend has forced the issue to dedicate a scholarship to your LS now.

The Tennessee kid who we had all set as a PWO, til Oklahoma swooped in on signing day and gave him a full ride.

LS = Leveraging Schollys

One of those positions like the sound guy. Nobody knows they exist and don't care ... until it goes wrong. :eek:hmy:

EDIT: Although, wasn't that Lovingood who snapped the punt and ran to the goal line and caught the punt at the 1YL vs UGA in 2016? Right before Barnett sacked the QB and we recoved the fumble for the TD!
