A win is a win no matter what, but I also like to compare teams by points allowed and points for...especially when we have to play them.

Kentucky allowed 20 points to Florida.

They also put up 20 points against them.

I like Butch and all, but if we can't score more than KY did against Florida AT the swamp, then we should be a little cautious about our future. I have faith in our Defense...our Offense needs to be more CONSISTENT like Butch says.

The thing you are forgetting is that teams don't always play other teams with the same attitude to win. I promise Florida didn't go into the Kentucky game with the same mind set and tenacity that they will in Knoxville on Saturday. It's just the nature of the rivalry.

Dangerous thing to do. But, if you must, Tennessee just hung 32 pts on #12 Georgia in Athens, with our starting qb missing 3 pivotal series, one of which included perhaps the worst D1 qb in college football (Peterman) fumbling away a minimum of 3 more points.

Kentucky had a hard time with a Vandy team that absolutely cannot pay football and for them to give the Gators such a close game at the swamp makes me a believer that we will not only win, but win big--especially considering Muschamp's record over the last 11 games, that we are at home with a pumped up checkerboarded crowd and a team leading the FBS in third down defense while sporting more confidence than at anytime in the last nine years. The odds are all in our favor. This is the year the steak ends, which is more in the minds of the fan base than in the minds of Team 118. Look for a great day tomorrow!

I think we have one more win than they do over the last 11 games. I'm thinking a win for the Vols too. But the last 11 games is really not much of an indicator for Saturday.

That's a good comparison but...it was a trap game for FL before bama, it was FL second game and they probably overlooked UK (even though they lost to GA Southern last year). But it was also a home game for FL.

As for Tennessee, we now have about 4 weeks with our rebuilt line and our run blocking is improving incrementally. Our Defense continues to improve even though they probably got tired in the forth quarter last week. FL has very good running game but not of the benchmark standard of Georgia. Bye week may throw off Driskels timing.

Win the turnovers, protect Worley, exploit the FL secondary, balanced attack (we need to be within 50 yards of FL rushing totals) and we win by 10ish.

Let's hope our player's aren't thinking like this.
