I think his point is he doesn't have an offer from us, He is committed to OU, and he's a 2020 Texas recruit. So what the connection to Tennessee?

His school is about 15 miles from my house. I have seen him play and would like to see UT offer. He has 14 offers so far, but only UGA and A&M from the SEC.

The young man was MaxPreps' Freshman of the Year starting for Aledo High School, who have won the State Championship 6 of the last 8 years and are playing in the finals this weekend.

Simply because he committed to OU as a sophomore does not mean he is an OU lock.

I will be in Cowboys (AT&T) stadium tomorrow watching some of the state championship games and will definitely watch to see if Jase continues his playoff domination.

Jase and his Aledo teammates came up a little short today in an error-filled title game. There were 28,163 in attendance, who saw College Station win their first state title. The final score was 20-19.

Aledo did not look like themselves today as they missed two PATs, had many errant passes, amassed 114 yards in penalties, and looked very average despite bringing in a 15-0 record.

Jase McClellan was the game's leading rusher with 137 yards. He did score two TDs in the losing effort.

Edit: This was only the 10th loss by Aledo's football team since 2008.

Jase is a 5-star on 24/7 and 4-star on Rivals.

Through the first 3 games of his Jr year, he has 348 yards on 48 carries (7.25 avg) and 10 TDs (stats from newspaper summaries of games). Aledo HS, who is ranked #1 in Texas 5A, has dominated their first three opponents (40-0, 51-14, and 63-16).

Jase now has SEC offers from AL, ARK, GA, and A&M, but remains committed to OU. Other notable offers include TX, Michigan, and Ohio St.

Relevant bumping of threads

By updating the stats of a 4/5 star RB with a post that is 9 months from the last post on the player?!? If you don't want to read about it, then skip it. Last I checked, this board is open to posting on recruits. Interestingly, you "bumped" this thread twice today already.

Wouldn’t consider me responding to your pointless post as a bump. No offer. No dialogue. No care.

Then, why are you still posting in this thread? This is one of the top RBs in the nation with offers from 4 SEC teams and several other power 5 programs. I guess I should just stick with pumping my total message count instead.

No offense but it's a Vol message board and most here are interested in players that are either committed to the Vols or the Vols are recruiting. In particular, the ones we have a legitimate shot at. Not much interest in recruits that are committed to Oklahoma or any other program for that matter. It would be a pretty crazy place if we updated every upper echelon recruit whether they have interest in the Vols or not.

I take no offense, but there are 9 threads for players committed to other programs in the first two pages of the recruiting forum. I have seen him play many times and the kid is a great athlete. I would like to see him offered. One site has him now as 50/50 between OU and TX. As a current Jr, he could still be in play.

Until he becomes a legitimate possibility for the Vols, most are not really interested, especially a 2020 kid. Heck, many are not interested in 2020 kids that are a possibility for TN.

I realize he's a great prospect but I'd say there's a 1% chance he'll be a Vol.
