tennessee's new coaching staff continues to reach well beyond its state borders to place scholarship offers on the table to blue-chip talent in various regions, including the lone star state.

Bryson washington hasn't needed much time to make a name for himself as one of the premier defensive backs in the 2020 class in texas.

The houston native is blessed with size (6 feet 2, 195 pounds) and already has started showing scouts that he has playmaking ability that's not normal for a prospect his age. Coaches on rocky top see it with washington and offered him this week.

"blessed to receive an offer from the university of tennessee," washington posted on social media.

In 2017, the king high school sophomore recorded 56 tackles, 23 pass breakups, five interceptions and four returns for touchdowns. To further illustrate his knack for getting involved in game-changing moments, he also totaled six blocked kicks.
