I think the numbers from ga and fl will increase.

I know everyone says that the state of Tennessee doesnt have alot of instate talent, has this always been the case? 59 is alot for a no talent state.

west coast and south east should all go up because of where our new recruiters are from and kiffin's idea of locking up the home state.

Awesome work Eric! Out of curiousity, I wonder what that map would have looked like from '92 or '93 thru about 2000?

It'll be interesting to examine the shift (assuming there is one) between the two different coaching staffs in a few years.

Also, it kicks sand on the whole "we need more boys from Tennessee with passion, and" blah blah blah crap.

if I'm not mistaken, we've had 3 recruits from Oklahoma...Gerald Jones, Robert Meachem, and David Oku.

Anyone look at how many players didn't finish due to leaving or removal from the school. I hope Kiffin can keep it below 10 arrest 3 DUI's and multiple Drug related issues.

The one thing that jump out at me was that we have had more "Busts" than "Bombs" from our 4* and 5* star recruits. I know FCPF could recruit but it seems he was lacking in evaluating the talent or he did not "coach them up" to their potential.

I agree eric. Not saying that fulmer didn't recruit some good players. It just seems that most of his best players he recruited were three stars..... Not four and fives. Makes you kinda wonder if we just got some of these kids because most others national power schools saw some lack of potential that we didn't. Not saying every case, just too many. HOWEVER BERRY IS THE ULTIMATE EXCEPTION.

I think it had more to do with development than anything, personally. We've seen for years that some of these players just didn't seem to be coached up to the best of their ability.

I put it more on the program becoming stagnant than anything. Fulmer lost the fire and I think his coaches followed suit. Somehow though, we were always able to field a pretty darn good defense.

Yeah,

Fulmer could recruit with the best of them. He lost that competitive fire that he had in the 1990s. We also lacked the Cutcliffe Factor in 2000s. Cutcliffe was certainly underappreciated for sure. I still think that letting Cutcliffe go was Fulmer's biggest mistake...He should have worked hard to keep that guy around.

I am glad all of the old regime is gone, and I am not saying that I don't like those guys. I loved them at their best and was frustrated at their worst. Overall they had a great run and gave us fans some of our best moments in UT football history. But change was needed and hopefully we resurrect our team with the new regime. We need to return to our glory years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
