I am considering taking the plunge and going for the season tickets this year. Ordinarily, I get to use some office tickets a few times per year but next year's home schedule looks pretty awesome so I imagine I'll be lucky to get them more than once. I know the number to call but I was hoping for some inside info. on how the seats are distributed. I also see that you are "encouraged" to donate to a scholarhsip fund. What is that about? Does the donation have something to do with the seats you get? Is there any way to get decent seats in the lower level. My office tickets are Section D about 50 rows up just under the cover so I am pretty spoiled. Any chance in hades of getting something that good as a first time season ticket buyer?

If you want season tickets.....bend over and get out the vaseline....then get ready for upper-level mediocrity on the field.

I'll hang up and listen...

6 sets of Neyland seats for 06. Two sets of away game seats. Section D Row 50? Best stick with them. Good seats, my 3rd set of Home tix i sale are Section S Row 55. Met some first time donations sitting in HH during the pregame UAB.
Your donation, doesnt mean squat!

Id be happy to sale you my Section T Row 2, seats 10-11 :stinker2:

I'm not donating. I'm just banking on keeping my connection with my ticket man open for the next few years.

As much of a pain it is to hike to the upper deck, they are good seats in YY10, row 26.

I have been a season ticket holder since 1988. We have 5 in YY6 and I love them. I have sat all over that stadium and these are my favorite yet. Good luck on getting under the cover. And the donation is an unavoidable process. As of 2007 there will not be any "nondaonation" seats. I think that the higher your donation, the better chance you have at getting premier away tickets-or at least it used to be that way.

So even with the new rule of a required donation, what are you talking about having to spend for say a pair of tickets?

Gee, with the Titans you only had to buy the PSL once. (I know, the annual donation is now routine at most big time schools.)
Of course, even a down year at Neyland is more exciting than an up year at The Coliseum. (Sorry Titans fans but you know it's true: very little atmosphere. No bands, etc.)

A good thing to consider doing, is get a group of 4 to ptich in together and share the donation. Some companies match donations also.

Only problem is that the donation is per pair. So four tickets would double the donation. Also four tickets together (lower level) requires a $2500 donation.

Get on Ebay in August. There were loads last fall (even with the monstrous expectations) going for $600-1500 a pair.

Oh crap, I get mine through employee discount (wife's gmother used to work in the bakeries on campus) which is half price tickets and no donation. Are they cutting that out, too?
