Could you imagine what it would be like if they split this way, they each redshirt 2006, they all develop as expected, and they all play four years. It would sure be a wild stretch in the East.

UGA - Matthew Stafford
USC - Chris Smelley
UF - Tim Tebow
UT - Mitch Mustain

I would hope so but what Tuberville has going on at AU is simply amazing

IF we get Mustain. This basically means a lot of passing going on. And with our pass defense of late THAT needs to be a focus on recruiting for us.

Of course. That's why is is a "what if..." Is Logan Young in prison? If not, I wonder is Shula invited him over? :nener:

Plus it doesnt matter how highly ranked the player is if the coaches cant develop them....

Tennessee has had a top 10 recruiting class the past 4 years and it hasnt paid dividends at all...

I do think that Cutcliffe will utilize whatever talent he has...
Spurrier is a genius with QBs and im kinda ill that Shula let Smelley get away... Richt seems to do a good job as well with Green/Shockley....

Correct. Not all blue chip players pan out.

The Vols won the SEC East last year with some of those players recruited 4 years ago, so not all is lost.

Will that mean SEC teams will start playing offense again?

I wouldn't be suprised to see the SEC put up a ton of points in the bowls this year. They want see defenses that are even close to what they saw during conference play.

Maybe... but will the Pac 10 start playing defense in that time?

Who knows. I'm still kind of bummed the SEC and Pac-10 don't have a bowl agreement for the same game. That needs to happen.

Nahh . . . I'd rather just be able to continue to assume that the SEC is superior with no real basis.

I kind of hope he takes his gimp arm and transfers.
