I know Rod Wilkes is on the top of the list but don't you see the staff going after lots of OL and DL?

Seems to be the area where UT has the most need.

Just wondering everyone's opinions. I know Bartholomew and that TE from Maryville has committed.

Yes, OL and DL will most definitely be areas of concentration for the staff this recruiting season. We are high on several OL's lists, including Antoine McClain (one of the best in the nation) from Alabama and Barrett Jones here in-state. We really need to bring in 4 or 5 quality OL in this class, as well as DL as well, although we hit the jackpot last year with Melancon, Martin, and Brimfield.
I think the defensive backfield is also a need this time, and one of the main targets is Terrance Parks, who attends the same high school as Eric Berry in GA.
Finally, I think they will go after a big-time QB prospect, and that guy will most likely by D.C. Jefferson. Yeah, Crompton still has 3 yrs left, and we have Coleman and Stephens there as well, but Jefferson seems to be the kind of kid that is striving in today's college football world, with the ability to run and pass.

Bartholomew is a FB and Aaron Douglas is the kid from Maryville, considered one of the best TE's in the southeast.

Thanks for telling me about the OL. That is what I was looking for. I knew about D.C. and Parks.

Has there been any news about McClain?

Actually the kid from Knoxville is a much better runner from the QB position than Jefferson. His name is Phillips. Jefferson is not much of a runner at QB.

Phillips is from Sullivan County which is about 2 hours from Knoxville. They are both decent runners at QB, though the edge would go to Curt as far as speed.

Yea I read where Jefferson's coach said he wouldn't blow past anyone (4.8 40). Of the little info I have read on him he seems like a bit of a project, but that could be okay with the depth we have at qb. I'm at least glad they are now looking at keeping more qb's on the roster than having a freshman start every four years.

Curt is a very good Q.B the best that I personally have seen play up here in a very long time. If you guys are up here on a Friday night this fall check out a Sullivan South game. I think the vols should go after him hard.

Phillips runs about a 4.5, which is really good for a QB. I don't think Brent Schafer was that fast. I've seen him play and he really is good. He never could beat Dobyns-Bennett, though.
