Wowzers, the Dores have a great slate of home games next year. I am seriously thinking about buying season tickets for VU next season. In Nashville, you can see:

S.Carolina
Auburn
Florida
Tennessee

I know several folks, me included, who have pledged not to spend another dime going to Knoxville until Phil is gone. Getting to see four quality SEC teams (and 3 quality SEC coaches, if Tubbs stays at Aubie) play in person without having to leave town is pretty sweet.

That is a dumb pledge VHB.
For me it's not. I've returned tickets for three games this year already and I will not attend anymore. I am washing my hands of anything more than a pedestrian SEC fan's interest in the Vols as long as Phil is hfc.

well, I can see how it looks silly but by way of explanation I'll just say that I did not go to UTK and I am only a Vol fan because I was raised in this state at a time when there was nothing bigger (no Titans, Preds or Grizzlies). My unwritten contract with Vol football, and that's the only sport I care one squirt about at UTK, is that I support it because it pleases me to do so. In this case, I don't feel any direct obligation to support something that I am currently deriving little or no pleasure from. Someone else will buy the tickets and take the hotel and restaurant reservations. I just don't care anymore.

Go ______!

Live in Green Hills area.

the AD sells returned tickets for face value a few hours before the game. they don't advertise it for obvious reasons, but you can always check upstairs in the student center and see if they have any extras. usually there is a waiting list. of course, if they are going below face value on the street it wouldn't make sense.

Well, at least you're upfront about it. Have fun watching Vince Young hack it up on the field. Don't come back when we finally make a coaching change and start winning again.

Yeah, only those who chose to suffer can be a fan. Want some ashes and sack cloth with that post? Maybe a nice flail? I did not say that I am not a Vol fan anymore, only that my level of apathy and disgust has reached a level that I will not spend another cent on anything having to do with UTK football until there is a new hfc. There's a big difference there whther or not you choose to acknowledge it.

So someone that is no longer a "fan" of the Vols is a GURU.
You must have made some good posts before jumping ship.

I don't care how you spend your money; I should have quoted your post on how you're "washing your hands of anything more than a pedestrian SEC fan's interest in the Vols" instead. Either your team is your team, period, or you're a front-runner.

On the topic of Vanderbilt's schedule, I'm not sure how exciting the USC and Auburn games will be, but I would jump on the opportunity to see UT play them, and I wouldn't be against watching Tim Tebow and company have a clinic against them.

Ever had any thoughts about not posting on Vols forums to coincide with your self-ban on attending games?

That's too bad. Everyone has had a great time at every home game this season. Lot's to cheer about and coming out winners is great. It's been much better than the last several years.
