Ok, does anybody know when we should be getting the 09-10 DVD if you ordered one? I'm so anxious to watch it. I pre-ordered it in April or May then it said they would ship it early June, then went to early July, and now soon. This is getting ridiculous, I'm dying to watch some highlights of this past season plus it has the full KS and KY game on it. If anybody gets there's please post.

It's probably taking them awhile to find enough good plays to put on the thing. It also would take time to erase the faces of Lane and his staff from the footage. The good plays that it would have on it, would mostly remind u of the Losses we received. I don't want to be reminded of that stuff or good players already gone. It's time for a fresh start. GO VOLS! Looking forward to 2010, and hoping the end result is better thus making the video for 2010 easier to watch.:peace2:

Does anybody seriously believe they'd release a DVD commemorating a 7-6 season?

I too pre-ordered the basketball DVD.

Mine has arrived. I'm just about to watch it. Judging by the box and the menu options, it doesn't appear to have the entire KU and UK games, even though the ad on Vol Network's store still says, "Own the complete game victories over Kansas and Kentucky and enjoy the story of the Tennessee team that made history."

Tennessee Vols Tennessee Basketball 2010 - Season Highlights DVD Vols Reach NCAA?s Elite Eight

That's false advertisement. They need to send a second disc that contains those games. I deleted the KU game from my DVR, because I expected to get it with the DVD.

Just so you know, you can watch the full Kansas and Kentucky game on this website in addition to most other Tennessee games from past season. It also probably wouldn't be all that hard to rip both and burn to DVD, warranted, the quality wouldn't be all that great.

I already do know that. The games can be found on SEC's website. But, that doesn't change the fact that the DVD's advertisement strongly hints that the games will be on the DVD. How else should this line be interpreted: "Own the complete game victories over Kansas and Kentucky and enjoy the story of the Tennessee team that made history." ??????????????????????

I wondered whether we'd have the CBS play-by-play or Bob and Bert. I never thought they'd not include the games.

As for a review of what is actually on the DVD, the main feature is nice. They completely skipped over the ugly USC game, which I suspect was Bruce's decision, and which is fine. I was surprised that they showed no highlights of the win at South Carolina despite how much Bruce talks in the interview about loving road wins. The DVD's Bonus Features are the packages that were in the middle of the coach's show all season. They're nice pieces, but I'd rather see something we haven't already seen. On the positive side, the sit-down interview with Bruce combines with the highlights to tell a very good story of the season. The coverage of the postseason games was well done and especially enjoyable, as those moments are unforgettable.

It's a nice DVD. I enjoyed it. But, I think it was poor to not include the KU and UK games after saying they would - especially given the fact that we waited until August after pre-ordering in, I think, late April / early May.

FWIW, the DVD of Bruce's first season, 2005-06, continues to be, IMO, the best basketball DVD they have made.

I left a voicemail yesterday about their ad, and I noticed this morning that the sentence has been changed to, "See the highlights of game victories over Kansas and Kentucky and enjoy the story of the Tennessee team that made history."

That's a lot better.:good!: That doesn't change what it said when I bought mine though.
