Since the Vols uniform suggestion thread is so popular, lets look at college teams that are making some changes to unis this year.
Some are subtle, some are drastic..

starting in the SEC..

I wonder if Boise St fans have to wear special glasses to see the players when they wear the all blue uniforms that match the ridiculous blue turf....

Question: In the Louisville photo, Number 5 (back row closest to camera), are those football pants?
If so, wouldn't those be against SEC regulation?
I thought the knees had to be covered?

I know Louisville is not in the SEC, but just asking..

I didn't bother to click on the Oregon link. They have so many different jerseys, they look different every time I see them anyway. How do they distinguish between the main jersey and the alternates?

TENNESSEE needs to catch up to the times and join the other schools in trying new things with the uniforms. If you are an old, narrow-minded fan that is set in your ways, then just get over it. This is the 21st century. Deal with it! This is the trend and the young fans and the young athletes like it. It would only help in recruiting across the nation.

That's just my opinion...of course, I could be wrong.

I'd say so. Teams like Boise and Oregon look like trash.

Uhhh yeah...because the uniform changes all these teams did really helped them win :whatever:

I'm sure teams like Texas, Ohio St., Florida, Alabama will all suffer because they stick with their basic look.

I am fairly young and I think Va Tech, UF and Miami's unis are horrible. Miami and Va Tech have two tone numerals that look aweful and hokey. Winning brings recruits in period not uniforms, ala Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, Oklahoma and USC. Don't mind a throwback or a black jersey, but I love our aways with orange pants. Notice all the changes have come courtesy of Nike.

What I don't get is people are still complaining about us needing to change and Kiffin DID change things this year. We got a black jersey and he put the orange pants back into our uniform rotation. As I said in another post, we've worn the orange pants more this season than Fulmer did in 16 years.

I fail to see why we need to "do" anything else. Change for change's sake is stupid, espeically when you're just doing it because everyone else is. Lord forbid we get influenced by what Louisville and Baylor are doing.

Both teams have come out in a new style uniform today. But what is the deal with the wing looking design they both have on top of the shoulder pad? Is this something to do with the state of Florida or a freaky coincidence?

Can't believe I agree with Brando, uniforms are ugly and it's all about the money. I wonder how much the teams are getting paid by Nike to wear these pathetic unis.

Supposedly it is a design to make the fabric more durable and light weight. Bring back the TEAR AWAYS.
