Cabrera's drunk ass is going to lead the tigers to a victory tonight.

As much as I hate both teams, I like the Cards over the Yankees in the world series.

I would have picked the Cards as well but the Yanks will have home field advantage and get to play in the band box...

I have no idea how the Rockies are doing it, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least to make another run to the World Series. The Cardinals, Dodgers, and Phillies are kind of limping down the stretch, but then the Cards weren't exactly setting the world on fire in September back in 2006 either.

The Yankees should get there as well, but would it really surprise anyone if they choked again in the playoffs?

Naturally I'd love for the Cardinals to win it all, and I love the top of their rotation and the meat of their order, but their bullpen is a big ole pile of crap. Carpenter & Wainwright better go extra deep in their games.

I feel like the NL is wide open. I could see any of the four teams coming out of there, even the Rockies even though I look at their roster and can't figure how the hell they do it.

In the AL it seems certain that we'll get another Red Sox/Yankees LCS, and it's sort of hard imaging this Yankees lineup losing now, although we've thought the same a few other times this decade.

But, in the spirit of making picks/predictions...

Yankees over Twins in 3.
Red Sox over Angels in 4.
Phillies over Rockies in 5.
Cardinals over Dodgers in 5.

Yankees over Red Sox in 6.
Cardinals over Phillies in 7.

Yankees over Cardinals in 5.
