2009 vs 2013: Are we really better off

Amazingly, yes. The next guy will have a lot more to work with in year 1.

No, every player on our defense is slow. Our dbs can't run down a vandy Rb . It's all about d, always has been.. Always will. What our next coach has to work with on that side of the ball is horrendous

...Guy Phillip would have done better than this

oh wells back to what really matters watching the news and hoping we don't get involved in another war.

Seriously? NO....now go away.

Uh I hope you mean Dooley go away and not me? If you understand context at all, I'm saying Dooley has sank our ship even more whereas a few weeks ago many on here were saying oh atleast he got us going in the right direction oh thank you Dooley. Bull****. Dooley has destroyed the Vols football program. F Mike Hamilton too

Better? Id say by far worse. Dooley started with a young team that has progressively gotten worse as they have matured. How is that possible???

Nope, I actually think were worse off. Dooley has filled our roster with overrated players that didn't pan out. Has filled our D with players that are to slow to compete in the SEC. He has wasted the careers of the only real talent on offense and the next players up would be lucky to make the 2 deep at places like Bama LSU, UF, UGA and USCe.
The only thing he will leave the next coach that is worthy playing in the SEC is the returning Oline.
Dooley inherited NFL worthy talent sprinkled all over the roster and wasted it. he leaves the next coach next to none, just a roster loaded to the brim with his "diamond in the rough" players. He spent 3 years recruiting players like he was still at La Tech and competing in the WAC.

I think the results speak for themselves. We have gotten progressively worse each season while recruiting a bunch of JC players and 3 stars who have really never developed. The atmosphere surrounding the program is more poisonous than ever.

To make my point, we just got thrashed by Vanderbilt. Enough said?

We have regressed under Dooley since his initial season, I mean it doesn't even seem possible, but it somehow happened.

The next coach will have a much better roster to work with though, that I am comfortable saying.
