Who will have a breakout season this year?

My predictions:

1. Adam Jones - Orioles: If he can stay healthy, .280/30/100 is possible. I can see Jones as a perennial All-Star.

2. Cameron Maybin - Marlins: I actually had him on my list last year, but he didn't take that significant step forward. Look for him to take that step this year. 25/25 season is possible.

3. Andrew McCutchen - Pirates: In just 108 games as a rookie, McCutchen showed speed, power, and an ability to hit for average. Another perennial All-Star candidate poised to have a nice Sophomore season. Prediction: .285/20/75/35

4. Matt Garza - Rays: Don't let the 8-12 record from last year fool you. Garza's got the stuff to be the ace of the staff, and he should be this year. The 26 year old will get close to 200 K's this year and could double his wins from last year. Prediction: 20 W/207 K/3.58 ERA

5. Brett Anderson - A's: Has excellent command of his low-to-mid 90's fastball, with a change, slider, and curve in his arsenal. The very young lefty should be a solid ace for years to come. Prediction: 13 W/ 170 K/ 4.05 ERA

Disagree about Maybin. I don't think he will ever hit with any consistency in the bigs.

I agree. Maybin has shown me nothing. Watch out for Chris Jones in Pittsburgh and Colby Rasmus in St. Louis. I know Rasmus was good last year, but I think he'll take another step this year. Elvis Andrus will steal a ton of bases for Texas and play some great D as well. You also have to include The J-Hey Kid. I think he's going to have one of the best rookie seasons that we've seen in a very long time. Also, look out for Yunel Escobar. He'll be the best all-around SS in the NL behind Hanley Ramirez. Can you tell I'm a Braves fan?

Can't argue about Heyward.
