I think the Reds will come down to Brentz and Wimmers, as they seem to be the most likely to be signed for slot. I would be happy with either.

Brentz would be solid. I think he ends up in Tampa.

You ain't kidding. Nabbing one of the best 4 players in the draft from the 12 spot is awesome. What's the consensus on the guy? I was under the impression he could be up pretty quick.

Supposedly has a fairly long swing, but he has killed the ball so far this year. He shot way up draft boards this year and he has hit .428/.544/.757 so far this year which is good for a 1.301 OPS. I love the face that he is also a switch-hitting catcher.

Defense is supposed to be average with some room for growth.

same agent as alonso also. so this could be a toss up to if the reds can get him signed. i sure hope it does not come to within 15 minutes of the deadline like alonso.
