Schedule gets released today

we would have gotten it last week...but Goodell and the powers felt they needed to take another week to mess with it: supposedly so that more teams face divisional rivals in week 17, hoping to create more situations where teams would not be resting their starters

I predict the last week will be a mess, and it still wont change either an AFC south team resting its starters in the last week as well as either an AFC west or a few NFC teams

According to ESPN, the last game of the season for every team will be a division game. I LOVE this plan.

Then again, this won't completely always work. I saw the Saints @ Carolina in week 17 this past year. Drew Brees didn't even take a snap.
At least it was fun for Pathers fans. J-Stew broke for a really long TD run on like the second play from scrimmage.

why? The colts, pats, and whoever else can just as easily still end up like 4 games ahead by the last game, they're still going to rest peyton and everyone. I really don't see a need for it

I bet the Titans finish the season @ Indy; and the Jets and Pats have a final game in NY

Also going for GB v MIN; NFC east finals, not so sure about...

I think he's going to make sure to pack the viewing names together in hopes of ratings

Goodell has also said he's pushing as many divisional games into the last 3 weeks as he can; the number of the divisional games in the last 3 weeks has gone up to 28 this year as opposed to 15 last season

This is a terrible idea, I think Goodell has done a great job so far, but this is not a very good idea.

Opening game announced: Vikings vs Saints

makes sense the NFL likes rematch games to open the season (see Titans-Steelers, Colts-Patriots, Titans-Bills, and others)

Titans last few weeks: 12 @ texans, 13 jags, 14 Colts, 15 texans, 17 @ colts

glad to know the entire division play is at the end of the season, clearly a genius idea :/

play each division opponent with only 3 weeks in between

wonder why the hell that other jags game isnt week 16
