It seems every year we have a few recruits we are excited about and either don't have the grades or their not ready to see the field yet. Either physically or mentally. Any thoughts of who in this class (so far) would be that guy next year? BTW first thread...be easy :mf_surrender:

you get a pass b/c of your avatar!

But seriously, grade wise I think you are looking at Broussard, Brown, and maybe one or two others... As far as those that aren't quite ready I think we you are looking at Bray, Jose Jose, potentally Willis, and I'm pretty sure Fugate might get redshirted not b/c of talent but b/c of Cooper and Johnson both filling in nicely and both coming back...

Brandon Willis will be ready to go physically, better be. We lose Dan and Wes.

It is possible. But they would be replaced with Calvin Smith and Kelcy Quarles and if we needed even more DT strength we could probably pull a Whittaker or a Thornton.

I can't help but think if Kif & Co had known about the limit this year. We would have signed a few more this past year. It would have made since for the rule not to take hold for two years.

ya you would think that but all you have to do is look at who put the the rule into place and all your questions like this will immediately be answered

i bet in the end, for reasons that vary by player, we will end up without john brown, pat harris, rissean broussard, ralph williams, delvin jones, and probably jose jose. all of the previous mentioned will be replaced by the likes of the following: jeff luc, christian jones, chaz green, john cullen, morgan moses, ahmad dixon/dietrich riley/demetrius wright, jakari gore, corey lemoneir, kelcy quarles, dequan menzie, and calvin smith/jeffrey whitaker/mike thornton. Final product: class of 27; one 5* (luc), nineteen 4*, and seven 3*. satisfactory haha. and yes, i am absolutely chugging the koolaid.

It wouldn't make any difference. If last year's class was 25 instead of 23, we would just be able to take 25 this year instead of 27 with two back-counting.

As it is, it's probably better we didn't take a full class last year as that would have meant taking chance on a couple of prospects we weren't real sure about whereas this year we have more interested prospects than spots.

I loved this post.
Jose Jose now is off the list according to you and Sab. Very surprising to me as I thought the staff was higher on him than Pair.

Your post seems very very close to a final board I would put together although I still think for RB we want Seastrunk (LSU probably) Dyer (pulled from Auburn) or Mack Brown (pulled from Florida) and Gore seems like he is leaning to LSU at present.

If all we had available was Darkwa I would not take a back in this class although I read Gran likes him and he knows an absurd amount more than I do about running backs.

Jose Jose will be in Knoxville in less than 2 months since he is an EE. There is absolutely NO info whatsoever to suggest otherwise...
