James Wilder Jr. of Tampa (Fla.) Plant was named Rivals.coms Junior of the Year. He is joined by 29 other Florida prospects, tied for the most from any state.

Right alongside Florida with 30 prospects is the state of California.

Texas has 28 prospects on the initial watch list. Much of the depth of talent in the 2011 class for Texas comes from the running back position.

With 14 prospects each in the 250, Georgia and Ohio are both expected to have another solid year for talent.

But it's not just the "usual" states that have national-level names. New Mexico has a player everyone will soon know in offensive tackle Matthew Hegarty out of Aztec, N. M
.

No surprise that the majority of the athletes that comprise the Rival's watch list are from Cali. FL, GA, OH, and Texas.

Saginaw (Mich.) star wide receiver DeAnthony Arnett is staring to narrow down his long list of suitors. On Tuesday, he named eight schools that stick out, including a top three. USC, Notre Dame, and Michigan State are on top, followed by Cincinnati, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, and Iowa.

USC offered Arnett, a Rivals250 to Watch prospect, on Tuesday.

"The athletic director at my school came in during my sports gym class," Arnett said. "We were just sitting down and talking. He told me he just got off the phone with USC, and they offered. I was excited of course. As soon as school wrapped up, I called coach [Ed] Orgeron. They said they loved the way I play and they have to get me down there to visit."

"I will be flying out there in the summer time with Raw Talent from Ohio. I don't know what camp we are going to do at USC."

makes me sick

Michael Taylor LB 6'1 205 4.5 Westlake HS, Atlanta (GA)
Taylor was one that was very interesting. The Gators were keeping a close eye on him leading up to the week of Orlando. Once Taylor performed it was a No-Brainer Gator. Taylor stated after the visit that Florida was his dream school and with his mother crying in Gainesville when he committed it was as good as gold. There was late talk about possible visit to South Florida and Alabama but he was going nowhere. He is a great kid and will be a great player for years to come. Florida fans will learn to love this kid before it's all said and done.

I have it on GREAT authority that Christian Jones committed to Tennessee when he was there for a visit. There were other kids there with him that told me 100% the kid did commit and was going to play for Tennessee. I flat out asked Christian about this and his response was very simple, "if I did that I would remember." This appears to be a case where he couldn't tell anyone no and at the end of the day went where everyone in the world thought he would go, Florida State.

I wouldnt have believed that if I hadnt read that Jones placed an 11th hour phone call to Tennessee Staff prior to NSD.
I wonder if we would have had a DC in place, would it have made him pull the trigger.

Something about Orgeron rubbed him the wrong way. I'm not sure if there was one isolated incident or if the whole in your face attitude grew old on Mike. While Orgeron obviously landed us a few studs, he also cost us some players as well, ie Marlon Brown and Taylor.

VQ. he has since removed them.
it was probably like 4/5 days ago.

was good stuff.
somethign along the lines of Elam and Riley being here at same time on visit and coach O rubbing the Elam family the wrong way. and Elam relayed his expereince to Luc and the Luc Family said they didnt like Coach O either. and then they had prior knowledge to Gran leaving before he actually did and they wanted nothing to do with Ogeron.
