This is the 2nd part of Volquest's take on the Wish List for UT in 2010. The first part was on the offense. So here's the defense:

1. Demarcus Milliner
2. Lamarcus Joyner
3. Ronald Powell
4. J.R. Ferguson
5. Jordan Hicks
6. Alec Ogletree
7. Kelcy Quarles
8. Garrison Smith
9. William Gholston
10. Brandon Willis
11. Corey Miller
12. Justin Maclin
13. Richard Ash

Thoughts?

I probably would've put Christian Bryant, Demar Dorsey or Dietrich Riley on that list in place of one of the linemen.

I think Corey Nelson, the linebacker from Skyline, Texas should have also gone on there. It's hard to go against something so subjective, though.

That is a true 5-star line-up. Out of those 13, who do you guys thinks we get? Do we get the only in-state on the list in Maclin? His rivals profile pic looks like he's wearing a TN shirt under his hoodie. O dominated the Memphis area while he was at Ole Miss.

I see us getting 3,maybe 4 off of that list.

Ego, Quarles, Gholston, and Miller would be the 4 I think we've got the best shot at now.

I think Ferguson and Quarles are conceivable, but I'm not confident in Gholston. I thought it was odd that they left off Hailes from Oscar Smith, but like they prefaced the piece, it's highly subjective.

Quarles' dad said that he will stay as a SC commit. But Quarles himself said he would still to look at some more schools.

I've just got a really good feeling about Gholston. I could see him committing at camp, but I really don't know. Those are just the ones I've got a good feeling for.

And maybe they know something about Hailes (possible silent or soon to be commit?) and that could be why they didn't put him on?

That would be nice if Hailes were to commit soon. Man we are stockpiling our lines. I'm glad. I just kinda want one qb/wr commit just to make me feel better although our staff will get those guys too.
