the lack of a Father Ryan presence makes me think it's spot on

Zak Tait is a monster or he was until he got hurt. He was one of the top players in the state last season, i think the best OL prospect. Depending on how he has recovered i think he could easily be #2 if hes back to 100% but even if hes close to that hes worth a shot and a red shirt to get him back.

Brandon Bars from Mongomery BELL Academy is a very sound intelligent Linebacker. I coached the kid in wrestling, and Wrestling helps with football skills. I seen him in 3 games this year I was impressed at all 3

I saw Eric Watson play several times when he was at CBHS. He's very good. Since I've seen him he's transferred to Olive Branch, and then transferred to Melrose midseason this year.

Memphis University School 38, Brentwood Academy 18

Memphis (Tenn.) University School is quietly proving to be one of the best football teams in the southeast. Already with quality wins over Memphis (Tenn.) Melrose, Olive Branch (Miss.) High School and a decisive win over Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell, the Owls put an exclamation point their 2008 season, riding a 31-0 halftime lead to a state championship over Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy.

Rivals250 to Watch 2010 prospect Barry Brunetti and MUS finished off an undefeated season. The quiet emergence into one of the top teams in the region has been fueled in large part by the loud play of junior quarterback Barry Brunetti. Tuesday evening was no different for MUS. Brunetti – named the Most Valuable Offensive Player for the game – passed for 207 yards and four touchdowns on 12-of-27 passes. Even his incompletions were often due to drops or throw-away situations. Added to his passing numbers, Brunetti rushed for 85 yards on 17 carries.

Already one of the top 2010 prospects in Tennessee, Brunetti's Tuesday night should see his star rise even faster. At 6-2, 210 pounds, Brunetti is strong and physical, throws a beautiful deep ball, has a nice release and is extremely fast and athletic. He made smart decisions all night and his lone interception came on a Hail Mary to end the first half. His precision is what made Brentwood Academy pay for four first-half turnovers.

Whenever Brentwood Academy made a mistake, which was often in the first half, Brunetti and MUS would pounce, making the Eagles pay with touchdowns. The early lead got Brentwood Academy out of sync and eliminated the option of pounding the ball behind Notre Dame commit Alex Bullard and the big Brentwood Academy offensive line.

Defensively, the highly-touted Brentwood Academy defensive line could never corral Brunetti and his teammates.

Brunetti had some help on the offensive end. Wide receiver Taylor Reed was the quarterback's favorite target on the night with five catches for 107 yards and two touchdowns. MUS has two other skill players of note that join Brunetti in the class of 2010. Running backs Keith McBride and Stephond Allmond will both be back for a 2009 run and both are skilled potential college prospects out of the backfield.

Notes: Ryan Carrethers continues to be one of the more underappreciated prospects in the area. The senior had seven tackles from his defensive tackle spot and has been the most active defensive lineman for Brentwood Academy all season…Brentwood Academy was unable to get three-star tight end Thad McHaney involved much on Tuesday night. As a tight end he had no catches and as a defensive end he never made a major impact on the game…While MUS has several good young prospects returning, Brentwood Academy has some good skill players in the wings as well. 2010 running back Joshua Tate rushed for 130 yards on 24 carries, 2011 running back Victor Caro has emerged over the season and should be a good one despite being limited to 28 yards by MUS. Joshua Pleasant, also in the class of 2011 should be another prospect to keep an eye on. Representing the 2012 class, Woody Baron started for Brentwood Academy on the offensive line at 6-1/245.
