Well since we have gone in 10-6 in the first 16 games we may need a time where we can get a Volunteer Basketball only halfway point review. Hatvol you seem to have been to all the home games, I was up in NYC for the games here and will give you my thoughts on them, but it is about time we have a full review. I do not want to read another Brian Williams, S Pearl, or McBee is the problem. To be honest in a 11 man rotation if your numbr 9 and 10 player are 2/3 of the problemt then we have way bigger issues than this.

I will give one opinion about TBA. I watch alot of sports, after football season I start with college basketball. I don't know many top 40 college programs that have minimal student participation, but worse than that have such lackluster student accomodations. I was watching the game tonight in overtime, when Boynton went to the FT line, and I thought what is distracting him? Is one of the beat writers for the Maryville Times supposed to pretend to get up and use the bathroom and accidently throw his hands up so we can have ONE UT fan to try and make the UF player miss the free throw. It is just amazing when I see some of the older legacy fans that sit on the court, not bother to get up even when ACTJ is waving his arms up to get the crowd into it. It is amazing to see all the Coaches on the Tennessee Volunteers bench wearing green, brown, and blue ties that they got from Men's Warehouse instead of going down the street into the UT Bookstore and purchasing themselves a set of 8 bright Tennessee Volunteers orange ties.

Finally can someone either harpoon or just have that woman behind Brent Musberger's shoulder removed. She is distracting, annoying, and looks like woman who the hot girls all bring out for your friend who usually gets to drunk to care what she looks like.

Sorry for the diatribe onto my NYC report.....

Great Atmosphere, although would have been better if we had the band, but as CBP said in the Alumni Association meet and greet before we all went int, he has no idea why they weren't brought alont. We did get a good sense of VCU's band because they played EVERY timeout, commercial break, shoot they played on a fould call. Was rather entertaining. This team looked as if it had prepared to come out and play defense in both games. Penetration was denied, and even Yarou whom is VU's real inside threat was really stagnant for most of the game. The half court defense was relentless, we protected perimeter and went out to guard every pass and possesion. Goins was especially outstanding, showcasing quick hands. Amazing performance. I would like it to be known, I think because Tobias was home, he definately came ready to play but may have wanted it to much at first. He really needed to slow down and play the controlled game he is well known for.

Final thought, I don't think Tobias is a one and done player. I have not seen many one and dones this season, other than Sullinger, Barnes, Thompson and Jones (both). I know Knight will push it (which is a bad decision) as well as Selby will look to go, Kanter is irrelavent since he is more an INTL player, but I can see him finishing off his game and becoming a top 5 pick for 2012.

Interesting to read. I pray that Harris will stay around for at least another year. CBP has a knack of keeping guys around. Tyler smith and Scotty Hopson to just name a couple. I believe that he can keep Harris around but that is really going to depend on Harris. If this season goes well maybe he will stay but if it goes bad then he might be out. GO VOLS!!!

It's easy to get someone to stay when they aren't going to be a first round draft pick.....
