The Busch race and the Rolex series were added to the bill at IMS to boost ticket sales.

IRP will still have the trucks and K&N. All other IRP events will go on as planned.

As of right now, neither the Trucks nor Nationwide will race on their customary weekends. There is hope for a standalone weekend sometime in the future.

I don't either. Maybe they will go back later for stand-alone events, but I seriously doubt it. What a shame.

Maybe they should run the Nationwide on the GP track like the Rolex/GrandAm will be. That would be worth the ticket.

My guess would be that revenue taken in from the truck race alone wouldn't come anywhere close to what sanctioning fees would cost for the race to be ran. However, Montreal will be dropped off the Nationwide schedule so hopefully Nascar will do the right thing and give ORP that weekend or at least a date to another facility that isn't a companion to the cup series.
