With Barkley losing this weekend and Honey Badger being gone and Monte Ball not doing ish, who are the few players out there that yall have seen who deserve some consideration? I havent seen many, Geno Smith is putting up RGIIIish numbers so far, I think hes one to watch, but who else has been worthy in yall's opinions?

A lineman will never win it, but I'd argue that the best player in the game is Barrett Jones.

I don't think I can argue that. This could be the year for a defensive player to win it, Jarvis Jones may not be a strech if he keeps it up, or somebody from the Bama D. Before Saturday Laveon (sp?) Bell was looking good.

Keep an eye on former TN QB Tajh Boyd. He'll have a seat at the table if he can get past FSU again.

the ND game probably killed his chances, but Le'veon Bell from Michigan State is a freak of nature. Notice the DB tries to stand up on him in this gif. AND, in mid-air, he is checking the defenders to see what he wants to do next.

Geno smith is in the driver seat but that depends a lot on how wvu continues to play, who knows.

Tajh boyd, deanthony thomas, braxton miller, and aaron murray are up there, and denard robinson still has time to repair his chances if he and michigan go gangbusters

RGIII winning last year may represent a shift in Heisman voting in that excellent players can win it without playing for a championship, at least given that the team they play for doesn't have championship expectations.

Smith in his first two games this season: 66-75 (88%), 734 yards, 9-0 TD/INT ratio, also 83 yards rushing with a TD.

Haven't seen Deanthony Thomas who is putting up freakish numbers or Johnathan Franklin fromo UCLA who is having a great start to this season. And a nice dark horse might be Collin Klein from Kansas State

Milo mentioned DAT and he is worthy, and I don't think Franklin will get much consideration unless they win it all, and hes a freshman. Klein could have a shot.
