He was the toughest one I had to put a number on, a few major variables with him, if decision day was today though I feel good with that number.

I'm sarting to hear rumors in Memphis that if King commits to Memphis in the fall, JW3 could follow. Seems like there is too much speculation around this kid to put any one school's probabilities very high.

Yea last I heard if signing day was today he's 100% a vol, and that's from someone involved with Memphis school system so who knows.

BTO's numbers look like how I would have them, all except for JW3 being slightly high.

Duke will be coming after Hubbs and Nichols strong. JW3 has had some injury issues during his career, Nick King is a surprise, but CCM has made inroads for his services. If Pastner shows another passive season again, King could be in Orange next season. Crawford is a possible lock. CCM feels the motion offense doesn't have to have a true point guard, but definitely needs ball handling guards. What will be interesting is the number of Memphis players visiting UT when they play Memphis. That might tell you who is really considering UT or just carrying them on their list.

I agree with you that Martin feels that way about PG, it's obvious by his recruiting tactics. I'm not sure how I feel about it either...

I mean, can we be as good as possible, without backup PG? I've read a few things saying Moore is showing nothing in practice in regards to being a backup PG. I've seen other things saying we need a backup PG in the 13' class.

Can we be an elite 8/final 4 team, without a quality backup to golden? I'm just not sure of that answer. I'm not an expert on the motion offense, anybody with good knowledge of it care to fill me in on the answer???

Spart is the ideal man for this question...

I'm as close to sure as I can be with these kids and their recruitment, that Nick King will be a Tiger in November.

Hubbs- 70%
Nichols- 50%
JW III- he will commit later than Hubbs and Nichols, I think it depends on where they go especially Nichols.
King- 5% (i think he is a memphis tiger)

Would be amazing beyond dialogue if all came to Rocky Top.

Hubbs won't go to Duke IMO but Nichols could. I still think they both come to UT to play together. Nick King will be interesting and he's CJP's to lose. I still think we stand a better chance than a lot of the media guys give us credit for.

I don't think anyone would be shocked by King announcing the Tigers. I believe more are surprised the Vols are in his final 4. He is Pastner's to lose. Still don't think Memphis is sold on Josh. Nice guy, but you wonder if his players really respect him - Joe Jackson drama (contemplating leaving), Barton looking for Sportcenter highlights, saw a family member coming out of the stands during a game arguing with officials, seriously? Question marks that fall back on the coach. I will say this, King is considering UT for a number of reasons.

Well, he had to announce 3 other teams if he was announcing his top 4. The fact that the other 3 (Texas, Vandy, UT) are fairly random and King has never really been too high on any of them before this, plus the fact that Memphis has pretty much given up recruiting any other wings, plus the fact that his father and he are big Tiger fans, leads me to think that King is considering Memphis and that's it.

I'm not sold on Pastner, but I always try to keep in mind that he's in his third year of head coaching. I also try not to compare him to his predecessor. He's improved every year, and he's learned valuable lessons about who to recruit, and who to let walk. On paper, barring injuries, this should be his most talented team, so I'm optimistic about this season.

if Martin gets three more guys all from memphis we could have our own version of our dream team, also if we get Nichols. Hubbs, and maybe king, or JW3 does that increase the chance for stokes to stay another year.

I wouldn't think so. If he has a good year and gets praise for his workouts when he declares, he'll keep his name in there.

I can agree with that assessment.

If pastner has a bad year, UT beats him, and he misses the tourney, how confident are you he lands king?

I think it greatly increases his chances. Don't kid yourself, it may not be well publicized, but stokes is in conversation with Nichols, crawford and jw3, hubbs I'm not as sure about.

A good year this year, sign those guys, and I think it's a sure thing that stokes returns. Hell see the opportunity for a championship if he returns, and getting to do it with his Memphis friends. I believe he definitely is probably keeping those Memphis guys up to date on his situation.

Still very confident. King wants to be a Tiger and has his whole life.

Also, while the UT game will be an exciting out of conference game, it will be pretty irrelevent to our season as a whole. It'll be the last in the series, it's OOC and there is no assurance that UT will be ranked.

I highly doubt Memphis doesn't take C-USA again, reg season and tourney. Extremely unlikely we miss the dance all together.
