Hey everyone,

I was looking to get thoughts on where our Sophomore and incoming Freshman DL end up:

Miller - DT
Brown - DE
Vickers - DE
Carr - DT

Mixon - DT
Hendrix - DE
Henderson - DE
Mosely - DT
Barnett - DT
Thomas - DE

Thoughts? Also, do we expect anything from Miller, Brown or Vickers, or were they recruited over?

Thanks!

Hard to think anyone's recruited over at this point. And don't forget Jashon (Jase) Robertson.

I wouldn't forget Corey Vereen. I could see him starting at end or at least getting major playing time in 3rd down and passing situations.

I think several members of the incoming DL class will play hybrid DE/DT roles, based on the package and/or down and distance situation.

We are still impressed with Vickers and Miller, but they both got shirted last year. I believe Vickers was redshirted and Miller got a hardship waiver.

Strippling has said he likes an athletic DT and a bigger DT. So I could see any of them being used in Versatile DL roles.

Depth, but no experience

Man, you look at that list and see absolutely no experience to speak of. Greg Clark is an upperclassman, but he is relatively inexperienced. The OL is also inexperienced except for the JUCOs who have no SEC experience. Scary!!!!!!!!!

I think Miller will make some noise.

O'Brien will be solid. Carr will decide whether this DL is decent or not, IMO.

Vereen and Maggit providing a pass rush should be effective.

I say line them up next to a VW beetle. The ones that don't leave a mark. Move to offense. The ones that flip that *****. Plays DT. The ones that make it wish it never came to the US plays DE. Get my point. We need animals on defense this year. They need to be as pissed off as the fan base. Get nasty up in that line. Bring the fear back to the pass rush. Make them QBs all long for an NFL tackle on the blind side. GO BIG ORANGE!!!!

I didn't mention Vereen because it seems he is a lock starting DE next year.

I forgot we Redshirted O'Brien, It will be nice to have him in the Rotation for 3 years.

I would expect either Robertson or Moseley to play OG
