Martin is a big time prospect. Consensus top 50 player, along with his twin brother Cody Martin. They listed Tennessee as favorites last year (long time ago however), and plan to visit Tennessee this fall for a football game. Has offers from NC State, Va Tech, Wake and interest from UNC, Clemson, Duke, and Georgetown. UT has offered.
ESPN Evaluation
Strengths:
Like his overall feel for the game. Has a swagger and poise that will serve him well. Martin's preference is to drive and he's a good passer going to the basket. Plays the game in constant attack mode.
Weaknesses:
Needs to get stronger to become a better finisher at the rim; has the athletic ability to get where he wants on the court. Strength should come in time. Ball-handling would be an area of improvement but much of his development will be physical. As he improves his strength, game will expand.
Bottom Line:
Half of a set of twins that are lock Division I prospects.
