Twin brother of Caleb Martin (they are identical). Same offers: Va Tech, NC State, and Wake, with a UT offer. The twins have said they want to play together. Will visit UT this fall. Also a top 50 consensus player.

ESPN Scouting Report

Strengths:
Like that he can slash and tries to get himself to the rim. Projecting out as a decent sized swingman. Does a nice job of rebounding for his size and position. Will penetrate and kick the ball to shooters; sees the floor well. Demonstrates a sound IQ for the game and is a willing passer.

Weaknesses:
Needs to get stronger to become a better finisher at the rim; has the athletic ability to get where he wants on the court. Strength should come in time. Ball-handling would be an area of improvement but much of his development will be physical. As he improves his strength, game will expand. 3-point shot begins from his shoulder, likely a product of a lack of strength.

Bottom Line:
Tracking as a Division I prospect and is one half of a set of twins who are both wings and identical.

If I was a twin, and both me and my twin brother were High D-1 basketball recruits who play the same position, it would sort of suck.

I'd probably go to different schools

How does that suck? You've grown up playing together in your back yard, playing together in youth leagues, and playing together in school.

Most twins become versatile because they're coached to realize you both can be on the floor that way. See the Harrison twins, both are top 5 recruits in 2013, and will attend the same school. However, years ago one decided he was gonna be the PG and the other decided he'd be a SG.

In the Martins case they can play position 2-4 so it really isn't an issue at all. I think that has to be one of the coolest things to team up with your brother on a high major level.

I am a huge fan of Jalen Lindsey (want to keep the instate guys at UT) but with the Martin twins in the mix and all three of them basically playing the same positions and being the same size more or less, do we take the twins over Lindsey or do we try to land all three? Just curious what you think. It would be a good problem to have.

Kind of like the J3 issue this year, you don't turn away or tell players the caliber of the Martin twins to wait. I think our chances with Lindsey are very slim, so I don't think it really becomes an issue.

However, as I said, you take the Martins committment the second they say they're Vols and still push for Lindsey and hope he comes too. You can't afford to risk losing 2 top 50 guys because you're hoping to land 1 top 20 guy.
