UT is going to have some available scholarships. Let's go over the leaving players:

Trae Golden
Jordan McRae
D'Montre Edwards

At this point, you have to figure Jarnell will be gone by then. That makes four. Now, right now, with current recruits for 2013, our team will look like this starting in 2014.

Guards: Landry, Moore, Richardson, Hubbs

Forwards: Reese, Chevious, Davis, (hopefully Nichols)

Centers: Makanjoula, JUCO player

I feel confident in two things: 1) UT will get Austin Nichols. 2) If Stokes leaves after his sophomore year, UT signs somebody in the Spring to play center, most likely a JUCO.

So, looking at the 2014 recruiting list (thanks to BTO), this is the list of guys UT has shown interest in (Rivals rankings btw):

#6 Cliff Alexander
#10 Kevon Looney
#14 Theo Pinson
#15 Rashad Vaughn
#19 Jaquan Lyle
#26 Jakeenan Grant
#29 Ahmed Hill
#31 Jared Terrell
#33 Jalen Lindsey
#63 Shelton Mitchell
#64 Kaleb Joseph
#69 Adonys Henriquez
#86 Shane Hall
#106 Chris Chiozza
#110 Jaquel Richmond
#132 Jalyn Patterson
#136 Philip Cofer
#141 C.J. Turman
#144 Davell Roby

Couple names here and there UT is interested in not there, but a pretty accurate list IMO.

Looking at the current roster, the biggest need for Tennessee on that roster is point guard. About 6-7 guys are point guards on this list.

The top two targets seem to be Kevon Looney and Jalen Lindsey, both impact forwards (although Lindsey can play two, ultimately doesn't matter however).

Richmond, Looney, and Lindsey are both very high on the Vols. That's an excellent three man group right now and would fit almost every need except a PF, and UT will get one (I like Phil Cofer and think he's going to be at UT, assuming UT takes him).

I also think somebody will leave. I think UT will have five open schollies available. It's completely early, but I am confident in saying that.

Right now, if I have to make a importance list:

1) Impact point guard

2) Scoring forward

3) Backup post

4) Sixth man guard

Ultimately, with five open schollies I think UT basically recruits one of every position. Maybe they take Lindsey as their two guard, or shock everyone and get a Lyle/Vaughn type player.

Either way, 2014 is looking good. UT has received a lot of visits (more than I can remember from two recruiting classes down) and is in on a bunch of good players.

Obviously, it's really early, and things are going to change drastically, but early prediction:

JaQuel Richmond
Jalen Lindsey
Kevon Looney
Phil Cofer
Isaiah Manderson

Great kinds think alike...

Ive been saying awhile now...Lindsey, Looney and Cofer will most likely be priorities.

A PG will also be, looks like Richmond will be that guy, something to watch though.

Isaac Haas is a 7+ footer to watch as well...he has interest in UT, really likes Tennessee and is hoping for interest from us. We've started picking it up lately with him and showing interest, will be something to watch to see if we offer.

I really like Cofer, and as long as we make him a priory hell likely end up in orange.

Forgot about Haas. I would just like a true offense center. Manderson can score about the bucket.

Cofer is going to be a high energy player. A little bit like Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets.

I feel very confident Richmond is coming here.

If iirc manderson coach and basketball program got in trouble for recruiting issues...coach is now gone...will be interesting if this effects his recruitment at all...good prospect.

Didn't see that. Interesting development.

I would love to get Rashad Vaughn, but I don't know how serious he is about UT.

Nichols/Yemi is a good frontcourt starting, but there is no depth behind there. They got to get a couple bodies back there.

Doubt we will be serious players for Vaughn...looney and Lindsey will be the too priorities.

Nichols and Yemi will be a great frontcourt, as you said obviously need some other bodies though. Aj Davis will likely be at the 4 atleast some, he's already 6'9" 200+

I like Davis. Has potential. Just not sure how good he is going to be though. I mean, if he gives us solid depth and can give us some outside shooting at the 4, I'll take it and won't have a problem. I just don't know (especially with Nichols probably coming in) how much of an impact he'll make.

Interesting should be Kevon Looney. Right now he projects as a 3, but a lot of people think he can play the 4 in college ala Kevin Durant.

That's Martin, our 4's will likely be athletic versatile 6'9" ish guys.

As a former post player, I'm a "Let's get two bruisers and kick ass!" but that's where basketball is headed anyways.

I'm still nervous as hell about Stokes leaving after this year and not getting anyone. I trust CCM though. Hopefully there's some JUCO options.

DAMN.

How good is Looney? I haven't really delved into individual scouting reports yet.

With Nichols and Yemi down low!!!!!

**could you imagine if stokes stayed for his senior season**

The best thing for UT and Stokes is for him to become a lottery pick after his junior year, although that would be cool.

I agree completely.

Maybe he returns for a chance at a title, assuming we don't win it in 2013 of course...or maybe back to backs haha

If Jarnell leads us to a title, he can leave and be Cuonzo's first lottery pick.

What is Hubbs' pro potential? I've seen lottery pick somewhere, but he needs to improve his handle and strength.

Lottery pick.

Obviously strength and handles are biggest concerns, but he has perfect frame for NBA 2 guard, and athleticism is through the roof.

All this sounds great! I'm really happy about the AN statement. Till he says he's coming to UT I feel uneasy.
