I have a question regarding who everybody thinks will RS in 2014? It could be on either side of the ball. I am pretty sure Hurd will not RS but what about Malone? I was really wondering about Wolf and Helm. We need some production out of our TEs and was thinking Helm may be too much of an immediate need to RS.

On defense it gets more complicated for me. I would like to know everybody else's thoughts.

I always expect OLs to redshirt, unless we are desperate to fill a hole in the line. The transition from HS to BCS level is a tough jump for OLs.

Until they sign on the dotted line, it's far too early to pick out redshirt opportunities. Of those that have signed, the only one that would seem even possible is Dobbs. I know that will bring a lot of fire and brimstone, but if he doesn't win the starting job I could see him redshirting.

I believe with the increase in competition for the QB position we will see A LOT better QB play next year. This is going to a great QB competition because there will be a high level of competition from day 1 of spring camp.

Dobbs and Fergi will be 1 and 2 no redshirted here.

If I were to make a wild guess at who would redshirt I would say Mouhan, Dews, Raulerson, and Paulk and that would be it of the frosh. I expect a lot of the frshmen to be in the two deep next season.Right now the OL should look like this:

Kerbyson, Jackson, Crowder, Blair, and Wiesman. Backups-Sanders, Pair, Kendrick, Gilliam, Brown, and Thomas.

QB-Ferguson, Worley, Dobbs, Peterman no particular order position is wide open.

WR-Pig, North, Malone, Pearson Backups-Bowles, Croom, Young, Jenkins, J. Smith, and J.Johnson
TE-Downs, Helm, and Wolf

RB- Lane, Hurd, Pickett, and Hill.

Defense:

Defensive Line:

Vereen, O'Brien, Carr, Hendrix, Barnett, O. Williams. Lewis, Mixon, Henderson, Saulsberry, Moseley, Thomas, Carson, Clark, Brown, J. Miller, J. Williams, and Vickers.

Some of these DL's probably will redshirt.

Linebacker:

Maggitt, A Johnson, Weatherd Backups: Bates, Bryant, Reeves-Maybin, J.King, J.Johnson, and Harris.

Secondary:

Sutton, Coleman, McNeil, Randolph, Swafford, M.Williams, Jones, Arnold, Berry, Berry, Kelly Jr., Moseley, Gaulden, Foreman, McDowell, and Payne.

Should see some redshirts here as well.

Not an exact list. I do know all these players redshirted.

Carr
Bynum
Ferguson
Jackson
Jenkins
Maggitt
Quinn
Vickers

I know there were several more.

Bynum redshirted in 2012 and Quinn played this year. Utsports.com has updated each players class so you can see everyone that redshirted there.

I hope Dobbs gets the Redshirt and let Peterman and Ferguson battle it out for the backup role behind Justin. A healthy Worley is the only path to 6 wins.
