How are things looking in practice?

Any pitching problems on the horizon? Who are the second and third pitchers?

Is catcher a problem or are we strong there?

We lost some really good gals from last year.

And will TV coverage be better this year than last? I had some real issues with the announcer last year.

i didn't know it till deerpark said the guy announcing some of the games last year was pretty much doing it all on his own, that is why it looked bad at times

A lot of new faces we'll just have to wait and see if freshmen can fill the shoes of the players we lost. At least we have Ellen Renfroe back and Gabriel should be ready for a big year. I guess Tarango is our third pitcher. Of the freshmen joining the team Aldrette hit .435 as a senior, Koenig in the hunt for the third base job hit .380, Geer was a .446 hitter her senior year so hopefully these players will provide immediate help. Geathers .496 batting average is another top freshman prospect.

Practice is only three days old, and Sunday was the first time they were on the field.

Erin Gabriel projects to be the #2 pitcher, fully cleared and throwing after her injury last year. Cheyanne Tarango returns as well.

Akamine and Overstreet return at catcher, they caught every inning last year.

UT will again live stream every home game that isn't televised. Same announcer will do the games, he does the radio broadcast on 99.1 and they use that audio, just like they did last year. What were your issues with him?

For the early season road tournaments, the media relations person will have a limited audio stream. I saw some complaints about that last year, but not with the guy that did the video home games.
