2019 Class Prediction Thread

We all knew one was coming eventually. Too far into the boredom of summer to not have at least one.

Sounds like 20-22 will be the most guys we can take. How do you think the numbers shake out and who do we land?

How I think the class shakes out:

QB - Maurer
RB - Beasley, I guess? (I really don’t have a clue where we are at RB right now)
WR - Keyton, Brown, Curry (maybe - not confident we get the Boobie)
TE - Lowe, Brown
OL - Wright, Morris, Lampley, Webb (a pipe dream)
DL - Cox, Middleton, Clemons, Simmons, Harris
LB - To’oto’o (I BELIEVE), Henry, Bogle
DB - Bush, Burrell, Harris, Hill

That’s 23, but I think that’s probably the max. Don’t think we land all the 5*. Feel confident in Wright and good about To’oto’o. Crouch ain’t listed, Webb is a miraculous signing day flip from Bama. Don’t think Haselwood or any of the fancy DBs will end up with us.

If we take 25 we easily should be top 12 at the very worst.

9-12th for sure, considering all the guys we've got interest from and about 25.

I don't know why, but I've got more confidence that UT is finally back on the right path... may have something to do w/ Fulmer being back too, or Pruitt just going to work, without alot of fanfare.

...that being said, I'm sure I drank the CBJ Kool Aid about 5 years ago too, which is why I'm not getting too hyped about anything right now.

I don't know what that class would rank... probably top10, but that's who I honestly think we'll end up with and I'd be super happy with it... so... 24, top 10

I'd LOL if not for this desperate-for-football-news time of year. Since adequately figuring out our overall 2018 record is loaded with way too many question marks, whether it'll be a top 5, 10 or 20 final spot isn't all that predictable. IMHO, 8+ wins easily nets our Vols within the top 5. Even Steven should keep 'em in the top 15, with being inside the 10 spot dependent upon how promising they'll close out...with a notable bowl win. An even record will still allow them to wind up in the top 20, with another 5*, a couple more 4*s and a few bumps with already signed fellas. #1 just ain't gonna' happen. Maybe in a couple of years. I'm with you, OP, in that 22 may well be the maximum number of newcomers. GBO!

My answer is entirely contingent on the info I just heard from marker. I will not say what it is, but this post will serve as a public verification of his info. If it comes true, I’ll confirm and we will hoist marker on our shoulders. If it doesn’t happen, well, we tar and feather. 😎 But marker has called his shot, and this is his time stamp!

It’s a pretty Ruthian shot, too. (!!!)

I think we crack the top 10 in 2019. 2018 team will outperform expectations and we get a good bump recruiting as a result.
