Way too early for Herman to be on any sort of a hot seat. Their performance against Kansas was a joke but the losses this year are both close games to teams who could very well be in the playoff. You combine that with the fact he beat Oklahoma once last year and Georgia in the Sugar Bowl and he's fine. If he can't ever get over the Oklahoma hump though, he risks becoming like Harbaugh though.

Looking back at the LSU/Texas, Herman/Orgeron saga is interesting.

LSU fired a NC winning coach to hire Herman. Texas swoops in and steals him. LSU eventually has to settle on a native cajun that was a failed SEC HC, that's coaching their DL.

A few years later (while Texas is better), they lose to LSU who might very well win a NC, while they are stumbling around to be 6-3.

Crazy stuff.

Arkansas hasn't been able to consistently recruit Texas players since they joined the SEC in 1990
The move to the SEC definitely hurt their recruiting here...less games and exposure in Texas per year. That's why Jerry Jones paid A&M so much money to play Arkansas in Arlington every year (well one of the reasons $$$), for the recruiting exposure. It didn't work so well though.

I wonder if Jerry Jones paid the buyout on Morris
