I was reviewing Rivals this evening and there are two 5 star lineman which according to Rivals we have not offered. I believe the names are Clay Webb and Ethan Neal. Does anyone have specific information on why we would not offer lineman of this caliber.

Darnell Wright and Wanya Morris, look em up

I assume you mean Evan Neal. As has already been pointed out, CJP picked up 5* OT Morris already and we are in very good position with 5* Wright, who are #1 and #2 respectively on 247 OT rankings for 2019. As already noted, Webb was not going to leave the state of AL. I don't know about Neal, but we don't need more than 2 OTs in a class, and assuming we get Morris and Wright, I can't imagine anyone having a better OT haul in a class than UT.

As far as Webb goes, he is the #1 prospect in Alabama. Saban rarely lets a player like that get out of the state. The other guy I have no idea.

Yep.

Resources, time, and spots are not unlimited. And "offering" without much time or effort in the pursuit isn't getting you anywhere. Im not sure why that is really that confusing.

They sign what they have and pull Wright (which is very possible) and they have hit a lick on the OL.

What are our chances of pulling Wright? Is he a Tennessee lean? We need some road graders on this offensive line.

has a great relationship with Neidermeyer. he's a quiet kid, and doesn't really seek the spot light like you might think a top 15 recruit would.

just reading tea leaves, i think TN should feel good about our chances of landing him. i think Mama likes the UT coaches a lot too.... but it is a Bama/UT race. OSU i don't think has ever been as much a factor as some of hte web sites would lead you to believe.

and we've got committments from two top 15 Guards as well. if we do get Wright, then this is going to be a very very good OL class...

We need DT’s too. A Five star would be nice this decade.

OK showing some ignorance, but what is the big difference in the physical make up of a D linemane vs O lineman?
