Looking at the GA numbers... the Democratic Senate candidate - Jon Ossoff- is underperforming Joe Biden’s vote total by 98,000 votes. That makes absolutely no sense.

I’ll lose you here but Obama’s numbers probably weren’t as high as they could have been due to a number of people not being ready for a black president.

Why would you lose me? I think a lot of Americans were ready (I was ready, just not Obama). But again, nobody has ever gotten that many votes. I went back to 1980 and provided, our population has grown significantly, but nobody ever topped that 69 million. Closest was Bush 43 in 2004 with 65 million and Hillary had the same in 2016.

Could Obama's have been even higher? Maybe, but he took a significant dip in 2012 so the enthusiasm had worn off. But people weren't excited about Mitt either.

Just as Romney was a "safe" choice with low energy, Biden did not energize the base at all. I saw a poll (lol) that basically said 40% of his voters were voting against Trump. If you're only "exciting" 60% of your base, that's a formula for losing.
