2020 Presidential Race

Whoever ultimately becomes President, one of the first things he should do is put together a truly bipartisan committee (gop, dem, independent, incumbent, newly elected, old, young, multi-racial, male, female, and preferably even a couple of citizens) to establish a national, credible, verifiable, and efficient voting process. The Presidency is a national election and it is an embarrassment to our country that in this day and age, and with all of our technology, that we have state processes that are ripe for voting fraud (whether it is happening on a large scale or not). It would go a LONG way toward reconciling division and building trust among all voters, and we should all ask ourselves if they're not willing to do this... why?. If the states don't want to use the process for their local elections, then they can hold those elections on a different day. Just my 2 cents.

The Constitution expressly states this is a State matter.

Perhaps a "best practice" commission but national standards 1) requires amending the Constitution and 2) means voting standards are at the whim of which ever party are in power at the time.

Did I call you out by name? How many Trump supporters on here call other posters cucks and politicians bc they don’t toe the Trump line? How many time have you acted upset bc if it? It was a joke. Relax.

You said most.

Most means almost all of us.

The thread is devolving fast and I'm part of this dumpster fire.

This is all one epic s**t-show. It's bad enough we have to watch it for 12 weeks every fall, but this election is starting to make our program's incompetence look brilliant. Much like our football program, there just doesn't seem to be any end in sight to all of this.

Those missing opposing digits will do that every time. Gripping tragedy

It also turns out the man was a deviant. Putin has called the doctor's family to offer consolations to the widow and orphans...I mean children.
He has also decided to attend the funeral, where he will arrive shirtless, riding on top of a horse.

(Also: Gripping tragedy? I see what you did there. Well done sir!)

Lol. You are acting offended. Trump was the king of offending everyone and cheered on. Don’t be such a baby. This is really laughable. You think me talking **** is offensive yet give the POS you support a pass for doing it every day. I am just a VN poster. He’s the damn POTUS. Get your priorities in order.

Any others (off top of your head)?

In July 2016 BLM (mostly peaceful) rioters took over the Memphis interstate bridges and wandered aimlessly on I-40 in Memphis. Can't remember that there were any reports of BLM hood ornaments, but they did tie up interstate commerce and travel for hours. Oh, yeah, the Memphis cops seemed pretty ineffective - not much better than Portland cops.

I'm gonna be good either way...its gonna be divided government and I don't measure my success in life by who resides in the WH...I do view Trump as the closest thing we have to an independent president...there is something very very wrong in DC and the media...I haven't found another politician on either side willing to fight them

Exactly this; the TDS from Marxists on the left and RINO ‘conservatives’ on the right mewling about his demeanor or how he conducts himself miss the ***** point; this is the most American president in our lifetimes. (I’m 60)

It’s like some par 3 golfer telling Arnold Palmer “yeah, another eagle but your swing mechanics suck”. Trump has single-handedly turned the party into a true, everyday working Americans’ party.

“Yabbut, he called Warren Fauxcahontas and bragged that rich guys have pzzy falling on them like raindrops...harrumph!”

Shaddup, GTFU, and understand that he has given the entire party a blueprint for their legitimacy and survival even as they were preening over their statesmanship while being knifed to death by opposition who don’t share their sensibilities. Useless ‘conservative’ sellout fcks who’ve ceded this country to the radical Marxists one institution at a time for decades.

Sorry to sugarcoat that but I’m feeling rather genteel at the moment.

See this is about as inflammatory as it gets.

I am a trump supporter.

You think I love my wife so little that I would remotely be for that? Because that's what you just said.

You just implied I would let another man touch my wife and like it....

You seriously f'n think that???

So, when's the funeral for your sense of humor?

We are all Americans. No matter who wins the election the popular vote was pretty evenly divided. When we insult the voters of whoever we didn’t vote for we are insulting half the country. We need to let whatever happens happen (since after we vote there’s nothing else we can do) and be ready to move forward.

The Prez isn't in a chat forum talking about people like myself in 3rd person. You cant expect to make a statement like that and not have backlash.

I deal with backlash on some of my comments. Deal with yours.

Some of our lib buddies are pointing out that a federal attempt to correct voting irregularities would trample on states rights ... never heard them raise concern about preserving states rights before. Kinda like how they got riled up when non libs started conspiring to use freedom of speech against them - libs are a bit uptight when somebody steals plays from the leftist playbook..

Seriously, your comment is a good one. Seems like when electing people to federal office, rules should apply nationwide.

Respectfully disagree. The Constitution states in Article 1, Section 4 simply that it’s up to each state to determine “The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections.” "Holding elections" does not necessarily state how votes are tabulated. This could easily be amended much like voting rights have been amended. Perhaps we should also go back to the original "voice vote" when people had to go to the polls and publicly declare who they were voting for. Point being... when the founders wrote the constitution fraud was not an issue because the voting process was essentially the same in every state. Look at the mess we have now.
