2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

Change the name to "Music Hall of Fame" or GTFO.

T. Rex and Doobies are RnR. Depeche Mode (Bleh) and NIN (okay) are RnR.

Whitney Houston, Notorious BIG are not RnR no matter how good they are. Of the 2 I'd put Biggie as RnR adjacent but Whitney Houston is not in any shape or form RnR.

While I'm ranting. Depeche Mode over Judas Priest? What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on?

Trent Reznor/NIN was certainly a pioneer in electronic/industrial rock and is a musical mastermind. His early work was done (completely by himself) on rudimentary equipment two decades before everything went to computers. The music is dark and not for everyone, but it's undeniably innovative, emotional, and memorable.

DMB and Pat Benatar led the fan vote from what I heard on Sirius XM. I’m 26 so my parents love Pat and I’m kind of late to DMB, but both of them deserve to be in over Whitney and BIG. Stupid

I've always been a fan of Depeche Mode, but they're not rock n roll. for that matter, neither is Judas Priest, but they have a better claim to be there than DM.

Depeche Mode MEH I will pass
Whitney Houston Super talented and died too young. Never heard a voice like hers.
T. Rex I can dig it.
Doobie Brothers Much Deserved
Notorious B.I.G. Ready to Die was one of the first Rap albums I purchased at 12 years old.
Nine Inch Nails Super innovative. Not much into the industrial sound but NIN was the exception. Pretty Hate Machine & Broken are their best ones.

Discuss.
I have no problem with the inductees except for Depeche Mode.

Very eclectic group this year. Should definitely change the name from RnR...that said...loved Biggie Smalls when I was a kid and listened to some rap. Extremely talented lyricist. Trent Reznor is a genius musically even though industrial not my taste. Whitney had voice of an angel covering Dolly...and best Natl Anthem ever recorded. Still played at most sporting events. Lots of talent in this class that arent RnR...I didnt like Dave Matthew's until I heard Live at Butler college with Tim Reynolds. He is extremely talented and an excellent guitar player. Most pretty girls I have ever seen in 1 place was at a Dave concert...and it isnt close. Thousands...Go Vols. 2020

I did not say that. I said Nope. Bang a Gong is revolting song to me. Reminds me of the cover band at Yesterdays that played that freakin song all the time.

I stand corrected on the RnR part - vehemently disagree on BaG. Marc Boland = fantastic guitar vibe and glam godfather
