I’m 32, and I’ve been watching UT basketball since Watson, Bradshaw, Lofton, made UT basketball feel relevant for my generation.
I loved the Grant and Admiral led teams, but this team has quickly become one of my favorite teams to pull for in my life.
Ziegler and Chandlers youthful energy, along with the other freshman’s energy, and Fulky’s veteran presence along with JJJ’s (who has also become a favorite vol for me over the past few weeks) stepping up in the clutch. These guys went from being a team we didn’t know what to expect from, to a team we can be very proud of and confident about just in a matter of weeks. People can criticize Rick Barnes all they want, but he has done a great job developing these guys and coaching these guys to be better ball players during the season. I am really hoping that this is the team that gets up over the hump on the tournament. Here’s to a final four (at minimum) run in this years tournament!
