That has to be based partially on last year or something is totally weird. NC has not played anybody and yet they are number two. Nebraska also totally confusing.

If this is true that NC and Nebraska are highly ranked in the net, then we may as well schedule cupcakes and beat them big, as that is all they have done. Can’t wait to play Prairie View and NC A&T.

So were number 9 in the AP, number 5 in the ESPN power rankings, and 13th in the NET rankings. I like the ESPN rankings.

The Lady Vols remain unbeaten, with Sunday's 64-58 victory at Virginia Tech being their most impressive road win so far. Tamari Key stood out with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Her counterpart at center, Elizabeth Kitley, was held to four points on 1-for-12 shooting.

What did the RPI calculate? How is the NET different?
The Ratings Power Index (RPI) was made up of three components:

• A team's winning percentage
• Average opponent's winning percentage
• Average opponent's opponent's winning percentage

The NET includes more components than just winning percentage. It takes into account game results, strength of schedule, game location, scoring margin, net offensive and defensive efficiency, and the quality of wins and losses.

I guess if you blow 7-8 teams out by 50-60 points it helps with the net ranking no matter who the opponent is smh...............
