2023 Defensive/ATH Big Board

I wanted to put together a big board for the players we are recruiting in the 2023. As with recruiting, the list is constantly changing so I'll be updating throughout the year.

Interest level is based on current trends, visits, etc. Doesn't mean we will get someone that is high or can't get someone that is low at the moment.

By the look of the roster we will only lose Bumphus and maybe garland. That’s it

The good news is, its a very deep year for DL. So many of the top prospects are looking at the same schools and most haven't really narrowed down their list yet. I expected several of the guys on our list that have LOW interest as of now, will soon begin raising their interest level. And there will likely be new names pop up as well.

Clemson is probably the leader for Burley too.

What's up with LBs? Only 3 bluechip targets? And at our weakest position already...we have a lot of making up to do there it seems.

At least a good thing LBs are less important in modern football and also in nickel.

Nobody knows what our true “board” looks like.

And JUCO guys. I think they take one JUCO guy at each level of the defense this year

DL: Bradley, Robinson, Burley/Leblanc, Herring
LB: Rojas, Allen
CB: Strozier, Conyer
S: Smith, Myers, Slaughter, Luttrell
Looks like a pretty damn good haul to me and we’re in great shape with all of them. Plus JUCO guys will emerge as well as guys in the portal. The LB board is very concerning though, but I think that will be built up with JUCO and portal guys

Yep. The dude just made Matthew Butler a draft pick. Shoot and Jaquain Blakeley might be an undrafted free agent.

People like Bumphus and Garland might come out of nowhere and really excel this year.

I think most of these have only visited once or twice. I typically need a crystal ball in our favor or an outright quote saying we are leader to have High interest for someone that hasn’t repeatedly visited. Not to say they can’t commit to us tomorrow but I’m not ready to say we are in the high interest category for any of those guys yet. Fleming probably is the closest one I’d consider to bumping up.

Parker and Osborne along with Burley are listed as high interest not just Burley. In fact we probably lead Parker and Osborne. That doesn’t count Bradley at end who we probably lead for as well. GBO!

We lead for Will Whitson but we have to wait and see if he can graduate this winter
