2023 SEC MEDIA DAYS

We are officially one month out from SEC Media Days 2023.

Which this year will be at the Grand Hyatt(pun intended) in downtown Nashville.

I always enjoy the healthy debate on who we all think our 3 player reps will be.

My 3 player reps are…
- QB Joe Milton
- DT Omari Thomas
- WR Bru McCoy / TE Jacob Warren / Coop Mays. one of these as third.

It varies, typically it is upper classmen.

Whether it's a philosophical reason by Coaches a respect to seniors, or just due to more seasoned/weathered with experience handling PR.

I always just look at it, like a combination of who the coaches view as leaders, expect to have a productive year, guy they can trust. And approval by media guy.

Lists of guys that come to mind...
- Joe Milton (easy option, leader of team, QB, likable personality)
- Omari Thomas - Defensive leaders, well spoken
- Tyler Barron - defensive leader's well spoken
- Bru McCoy
- Jacob Warren- quiet leader, but very inciteful and smart.
- Coop Mays
- Aaron Beasley (from a play standpoint, but soft spoken during interviews, so not sure)

I know other schools have even brought "transfer-ins" to represent them at media day. I don't see us doing that as we have multiple capable guys.

You GOTTA love it that they scheduled it at The Hyatt in Knoxville West (Nashville) and that Tennessee will be the last school to speak. Should be a wild and crazy time. Somebody get ole Nick some Nashville Hot Chicken from Prince’s or Hattie B’s and sing him a couple of verses of Rocky Top
