Big losses/ Surprised with Bru, Elijah, Omarr Lott. Alot of personnel leaving if these players all do leave.

Those who chose NOT to do Senior walk
Cooper Mays-OL
Javontex Spraggins-OL
Keenan Pili-LB
Tamarion Mcdonald- Star
Dayne Davis- OL
Jackson Lampley-OL
Matt Salensky- LS
Doneiko Slaughter-DB

Big if these guys all come back! Especially the OL (Hard to win in the SEC with 4 new OL and most of them being freshmen/sophmores) . Would be thrilled if Pili and Mcdonald come back as well.

Thoughts and Feedback welcome!!

Thanks for sharing this. Really hope that Bru and a couple from top list come back with covid year...

Cooper and Spraggins are HUGE to come back. We need both...Spraggins is mean at guard and loves to wreck people in the running game especially.

Apparently Coop coming back means the O -line will at a minimum be serviceable because when he was out the Vols struggled mightily.

I’d be shocked if Pili didn’t return to prove what he could have been. I think Coop comes back. He missed several games and knows he didn’t have the season he needed to prove he’s NFL talent. I’m more curious about what Bru chooses to do. I’m hoping he makes the right call.
Pili has to be granted an appeal, so it’s not a guarantee that he’ll be back as I’m pretty sure he has used all available eligibility. I am pretty confident he will be granted another year though.

How many of those that walked are on scholarship?

Nico, Sampson, Squirrel, Cooper, Spraggins, & Mincey are going to need to be All-Conference type players on offense next year. Guys like Nichols, Seldon, Thornton, Ethan, Nimrod, & Webb gotta take the next step. We also need Matthews to be a dude from day 1
And bring me one of the 6’8” tackles from the Ivy League.

Doesn't mean anything. Jacob Warren walked out last year and came back this year
I dont think we can compete next year.. (if all these players leave)

We lose: (an entire class that all start basically)
2 QB
2 WR
3 OL
4 DT
2 DE
1 LB
4 DB
1 returner
1 kicker

We need to try to get 1/2 to stay… or close to 1/2, then get transfers to replace the others as we keep taking blue chip HS kids too…

Wr have to get 2 transfer QBs too… we have to be prepared for Nico being too young or for injuries…

Next year we are looking at 6-6 unless we can majorly overhaul/ fix our roster imo..

That is alot of talent and a large core of our roster that walked. I think many are underestimating the amount of talent and experience we could be losing this offseason.

We are turning things around for the better on the recruiting trail, but the classes from Pruitt's last year and Huepel's first year were not up to par. Next yeae there will be a gap of homegrown upperclassmen missing from the roster. Hopefully we have a few return for their Covid year and can add some experience through the portal. Otherwise, there may be more growing pains than some would expect in year 4 under Huepel.

I’ve said in a few of my posts that I’m pointing to 2025 and 2026 for breakout years because of this mass exodus. We will survive it and some young guys will have a huge opportunity that will step up and surprise us. Someone mentioned it in a prior post and it’s true, we could likely see some solid addition by subtraction, especially in our secondary. I think some of our young guys have far more raw potential and skills than some of the guys we are losing.
