Bama just pulled the No. 1 recruiting class which includes a ridiculous seven 5 star players. As usual, they are not going anywhere. It is up to everyone else to continue catching up.
IMO, Saban is having more trouble reloading coaches that leave the program than he is players.

But I agree, UT and LSU are up.

Crazy to think people are "sleeping" on Saban. This is probably the best class of his career and one of the best of all time.

The idea that Bama will be down seems crazy to me. They are replacing two of the best players they’ve had their and at premier positions. But I just don’t see it happening

True, but normally they are on the winning side of those plays. They aren't dead by any means, but hopefully this is the start of a decline

That drum has been beaten for years................Ain't happening until Nick retires.

Alabama could have a stock down as they were sky high to begin with. A down for them is still a lofty perch to be sure and many SEC teams will never be able to even sniff.

SEC
Stock up : Tennessee, LSU
Stock down : Alabama
ACC
Stock up : Florida State
Stock down : Clemson

As long as Saban is the HC, Bama will be in the top 3. It is what it is. If you want to be the man, you have to beat the man. Go CJH, and Go Vols!

We aren't elite yet but building in the right direction...couldn't be happier with how we're going in the right direction...even if we have a speed bump or two, our talent level is up and we apparently have the right coaches.

It is both the quantity and quality of their classes that make closing ground tough. BUT go look at the number they have processed through the portal last and this year plus look at the early draft departures. They had the room and used it.

We will need a higher hit rate of OVER Performers out of both the low 4 star and 3 star pools to gain much ground. It can be done if your evaluations are better than others. Keeping the good ones out of the portal will be key as well.

Stay tuned to see if our staff’s early targeted lower stars exceed some higher star guys on the field. Late in cycle 3 stars scare me a lot more. Same with our portal guys. I think we held to a higher bar or passed and will next cycle too. Should have a good idea by fall.

Did you see Sabans face last night when that clown David Pollack said UGA was taking over CFB? I have a feeling Saban will be replaying that clip a lot to his players.

Bama is Bama and they're going to be good as long as Saban is there. Wrt an earlier post, it does become more difficult to constantly replace coordinators and asst. coaches and maintain that level of success in the program, which leaves room for some misses on those hires and opens the door for other programs on the rise. We saw some of it this year with Bama's defense. While still good, people could move the ball and score on them.

2 plays from being undefeated.............and they are dead......
Texas and A&M games came down to the last play also, they did what they usually do in those two. I never count Saban out, and their recent class is off the charts.
