Yes, will be quite entertaining either way. Trump will be the most entertaining President of all time if he is elected. If by some chance he loses, this board will be in much more of a meltdown. That will be almost as much entertainment as a 4 year Presidency

the point that you are avoiding is that the media does control the masses, and you are ok with it.

Trump's problem with the media is that they work in concert with the government to control the masses. Trump wants people to believe his lies, you want people to believe the government's lies fed thru the media. I don't want the government to control media or spread any lies.

his argument isn't misplaced, his end goal is. even with his end goal being misplaced, which I think you would agree with, the difference is I don't think his end goal is fundamentally different than what exists today and you support. neither side cares that the media lies, they only care if the lie hurts them. See all the admitted lies about Trump the media spread, not a single of those lies upsets you in the least.

if we can remove the media as the Fourth Estate, and back to an institute that actually counters the government, instead of propping it up, we would be in a better place. in that regard the media is an enemy to the people today as Trump says. I agree with your world view that Trump's idea of the media is also an enemy of the people today, but that doesn't refute the current issue that the media lies.
