CKC did not have a very tall team at Marshall, so she created a success with what she had to play with. I am sure that she realizes at the D1 level, you can't control the paint and be a rim protector with a bunch of 6-foot and under players unless they are super athletic. I also believe that we will see better play out of our players reecruited by the prior staff. Most of those ladies ran flat footed and not on the balls of their feet and they had slow reactions on break aways. I believe that CKC and her staff will correct this issue.Teams like this will still need top post players and those type of players will want to do more than just rebound and play defense. Has to be a balance so hopefully it doesn’t go away from getting the ball in the paint.

This had absolutely nothing to do with what I posted but I agree with some of what you’re saying.CKC did not have a very tall team at Marshall, so she created a success with what she had to play with. I believe that CKC and her staff will correct this issue.
Some are slow. But your running style observation may have been because most seldom if ever really ran full out. It was an 80-90% thing. Same with their closeouts.CKC did not have a very tall team at Marshall, so she created a success with what she had to play with.
