Obviously, the OP misstated. I think he meant 4 home, 4 road, 4 home, although the first is neutral site. Is a little weird scheduling.

The link you shared is not the actual order they will be played. The actual schedule has not yet been released, it is coming in late October. We know the opponents, but we do not know how the schedule will be laid out. It will be similar to, but not exactly the same as this year, even though you face the same in conference opponents.

If they stay at eight conference games in 2026, we will keep Vanderbilt and the rest will rotate. If they go to nine games, we would have three permanent opponents, likely Alabama, Vanderbilt and either Kentucky or South Carolina, and the other six would rotate.

I dislike conference expansion for one main reason…Vols should play Al, UGa, Fl, Ky and Vandy every season. Ga is not on the schedule.

PLEASE STOP. We went through this last season as well. The schedule isn't complete, they just grouped the non-conference games, then the away games, and then the home games. It will not look like this once everything is finalized.
