for UT to win big games. Now we get doubled, at home.

We averaged 36.2 in 2012, and still went 5-7, suffering some blowouts.

This isn't rocket science. It's a 2-3 year process to build a sold Defense.

Give our 18 y.o. QB some credit, and resist the temptation to blame the coaches at this point. Who we gonna hire, crazy Will Muschamp?

Muschamp would be a monumental upgrade. I bet his players wouldn't run the wrong way half the time or stay glued to their blocker like fly paper.

As for this next game...... It is all on these senior offensive linemen....if they have any pride in them at all to make up for that lame excuse of a performance last year...to dominate that Vandy defensive line and let Neal have a career game against them. Take the pressure off of Dobbs to win with his arm.

As for the defense....they have to play inspired and mentally focused football the ENTIRE game. If they give up a big play put it behind them and move onto shutting them down the next 3 downs. The talent level is not better than what we have right now....they have to remember we're Tennessee and that Power T on the helmet will never take the back seat to any Vanderbilt squad ever again!!!! Keep those bums "Anchored Down" for their whole college career when it comes to playing the Tennessee Volunteers!!!!

GO VOLS!!!!

Start your thread negative, then positive, I'm cool with that, I give the 18 year old qb credit, back in '81, at 18, I was only worried about why my girlfriend got a Dorothy Hamill haircut.

Those players he inherited on defense are twice as fast and more powerful than what we have on this roster :eek:k: Muscramps would be in the Knox County prison if he had to deal with our defensive players each week...for assault & battery or attempted murder with a head set cord :dunno: I'm just saying :eek:k:

We have a real solid defensive roster coming in the next few years. I bet The Chump could do some things with it.

I'd take him at DC in a hurry. Hey, that idea may not be so far fetched at this point.

Check how many of will's texas D players are in the nfl....and not bc he was their coach.

So what? We are not talking about the NFL are we? Nope we are talking about college. What you said is still not proof he would not be a major upgrade at DC.

Ok i checked:

Sam Acho
Curtis Brown
Chykie Brown
Lamarr Houston
Henry Melton
Roy Miller
Brian Orakpo
Aaron Williams

I wonder how many of Janceks guys are in the NFL? I think its what, maybe one? Yep he is better than Muschamp :eek:lol:

Yeah and the two years before that they were 13-1 and 12-1. Tell me again how he wouldn't be a major upgrade at DC over Jancek.
On teams That Pass , We never pressure other than the Front 4 . On QB's That Run we are never in position .This falls to Janek and he has failed us Like he did Georgia

Your first sentence basically eliminated any chance of credibility for the rest of your statement :eek:lol:

This would've been a completely different game with lane discipline on punt return, without all of the O-line penalties and mistakes, and with better angles on defense.

They're easy fixes, so I don't think there's any real concern for the future, but its an issue of coaching, preparation and discipline, not talent.

As someone who was in the stands three consecutive years watching my beloved Sooners score a total of 96 points on the rancid Whorns during the Muschamp era, I can assure you this statement is false. In fact, OU fans were devastated to see him leave because that might mean a competent replacement.
