24 - 1 record

This is the record of the 3 teams that actually "beat" us this year. Bama, Oregon, and Missouri and technically all in the running for the national title. We physically and mentally were beaten by the BEST. We should and could have beaten UGA and UF had it not been for a fumble in the endzone and a QB that completed more interceptions that passes to his own players.
Got on my orange glasses. We're going 6-6 or possibly 7-5.

Get er dun Butch!!!

Hey Guy,

Georgia kicked the winning FG to BEAT us.

Florida's backup QB is still running untouched vs. our defense.

nice try though.

Respectfully, I totally disagree with you about Florida. We should have been up 3 touchdowns and the half in that Florida game had it not been for Peterman getting lit up. The second half was won by gators but had peterman not played that day we would have won or atleast been there at the end.

I'm listing the teams that basically whipped us. We lost to UGA and UF but the orther 3 were just on a different level and I was showing that their record backs the statement.

If Worley started the UF game, we would have beaten them handily.

Wait,UF and UGA didn't beat us? Sweet! Looks like we are going bowling!

So, Georgia and Florida didn't "actually" beat us?

Not the OP, but I think by emphasizing "beat" he means "ran us off the field", "routed us", "humiliated us", "thrashed us", "beat us by a commanding margin", etc.

We played Uga very close and were respectible against UF in spite of not accepting the gifts they gave us and in fact returning them.

IMO this is what he means...

The teams that scored more points than us when the clock reads 00:00 actually "beat" us.

And it's getting funnier every year how we try to justify that we "should" have beaten UF. They've beaten us 9 years in a row, at some point you just have to say they have our number.

Not going to beat Florida until they at least hold serve in the lines of scrimmage. They've had their tails whipped at the line of scrimmage since 2006.

So, let me get this straight. You are looking at the record of opponents we lost to, and excluding the teams you personally feel that we should have beaten? So since we lost to 2 teams we should have beaten, isn't that, by definition, underachieving?

If every team excluded losses that shouldn't have happened, then no coach would ever be on the hot seat again.

I agree about UGA, but we got dominated by UF in the 2nd half.

This team has not played as well as it should have. Maybe they are comfortable with losing, they have plenty of experience with it.

Seeing what the OP is trying to say:

The teams that ran us out of their buildings by a blow out margin were 24-1.

Meaning those teams were really good. Plus we've beat a really good USCe (7-2) team. We have a shot to go to a bowl!

what was unsaid however was:

Teams in which we probably had a shot to beat if not for some unlucky circumstances (GA, FL his examples not mine) were 9-7.

Teams we actually beat have a combined record of 15-20...USCe accounted for 7 of those wins and only 2 of those loses. So other then USCe our opponents were 8-18. Ouch.

What this tells me is that we will probably lose to Auburn (however I think we always have a shot), Vandy will be a close game (I think we win) and UK will be our only "definite" win (I say definite as in as close to a sure thing as you can get- you can never truly rule out an upset)

WTF are you talking about.

UT gained 204 yards in the 2nd half against Florida. Bear in mind UF gave up 212 to Miami through the entire game the week prior to a much more talented offense.

UT conceded 183 yards to Florida in the 2nd Half.

UT put up 10 points, Florida put up 14.

I am not seeing a "domination" there.

Oh, wait, sorry. I am trying to bring facts into this.
