#24 Ohio vs Miami (OH)

And the Ohio QB got sacked around the Miami 7 (or 17), game (rather than go for the FG to tie)

Miami (OH) wins the upset 23-20

Sucks for Ohio. Would've been fun to see them go 12-0 (13-0 with a MAC title win). Opens the door for Boise to slip into a BCS bowl at 11-1 as long as they're in the top 16.

I'm not sure they'd take take Boise unless they get high enough for an AQ

If a non-AQ team is in the top 16 at the end of the year a BCS bowl has to take them

Actually just found this. Sixteen only works if you're ranked higher than a champion of one of the AQ conferences:

3. The champion of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, or the Western Athletic Conference will earn an automatic berth in a BCS bowl game if either:

A. Such team is ranked in the top 12 of the final BCS Standings, or,
B. Such team is ranked in the top 16 of the final BCS Standings and its ranking in the final BCS Standings is higher than that of a champion of a conference that has an annual automatic berth in one of the BCS bowls.

No more than one such team from Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference shall earn an automatic berth in any year. (Note: a second team may be eligible for at-large eligibility as noted below.) If two or more teams from those conferences satisfy the provisions for an automatic berth, then the team with the highest finish in the final BCS Standings will receive the automatic berth, and the remaining team or teams will be considered for at-large selection if it meets the criteria.

BCS selection procedures

So Boise would need some low (17-25) ranked (or unranked) team to end up winning the ACC, Big East, Big Ten (now that one could well happen), or Pac-12 to get into a BCS game at 16.

Mixed feelings on this one. I used to go to Miami and my buddy is their best player; but, I currently go to OU... don't worry though we were celebrating Halloween so nobody even realized we lost haha

Louisville will lose eventually, I think. The Big Ten's champion is going to have at least three losses, so I think Boise will slip in.
