28 all in the 4th quarter. There's 5:46 left in the game and VT just scored a passing TD and 2 point conversion to tie the game at 28.

VT scored again to make it 35 all with 52 seconds left in the game.

Liberty has the ball again at the VT 45 now with 18 seconds left in the game.

It was a crazy ending..Liberty went for a 59 yard field goal to win but it was blocked and returned for a touchdown for VT BUT VT called timeout before the kick so it took the touchdown away and liberty threw a pass to get a first down and kicked the winning FG...Insane!

Gotcha. Everything updated now. On 4th and 6, Liberty completed an 8 yard pass to the VT 33.

With a second left, Liberty tried for and got a 51 yard field goal to win the game 38-35.

Side note: why would you ever even attempt a 59 yard field goal? There pretty close to a 0% chance of a kicker making that at the college level.

Well, if the game is tied, you got nothing to lose. A lot of kicks would make it 59 yards and even when you practice from the 25 you can see that. We had a guy at Gate City who discovered he could do it in high school, Del Burke. He decided to practice that a whole lot and the next thing I saw he was on crutches. He tore something doing that.
