Six Tennessee pitchers combined to give up just three hits on Tuesday, but the 25th-ranked Vols couldn't get it going offensively against ETSU, leaving nine runners stranded and going 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position to drop a 3-2 decision in front of 2,425 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Agree. I feel good about TN athletics for one week and then it seems to fall apart the next week. I hope overall we see an improvement across all sports next year. Football is going to be young, men's basketball is undecided until Stokes decides what he is going to do, women's basketball may be about the same, baseball will be a little older, Softball is leading the way this year but it may fall off a little next year.

Not much has changed in the past 5-6 years with the baseball team. Still losing to our little brothers in mid-week games. Pathetic!

Tennessee (and most baseball teams) go through times when the bats go silent.

I hope that's what this i because our offense was to be the strength of the teams.

It appears that we have one or two good at bats and then someone has a terrible at-bat killing the rally.

this all started with that Auburn game #1 when we simply refused to swing at the first or second pitch strikes down the middle of the plate. We weren't aggresive and now it appears we're stressing about it.

Both these teams are terrible on Friday nights, so it will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.
